Wrenches are the tools of choice for
mechanics, plumbers and the like when it comes to manipulating
nuts and bolts. Typically they will have a couple of sets of
imperial and metric wrenches in a range of sizes.
Fortunately, most woodworkers and DIYers can get away with a
single pair of pliers, like the Stanley FatMax Groove Joint
pliers.
These pliers pretty well replace a full set of wrenches. The optimized jaw geometry for multiple gripping applications and
increased accessibility makes it easy to grip and manipulate any
nut or bolt head you'll likely encounter in a typical workshop.
The flat surface of the tool's jaws keeps nut and bolt damage to
a minimum. The jaws open to one of 17 locking positions and the
bi-material handles provide excellent grip and control. The
pliers are drop forged for strength and durability. The pliers
measure 10".
A top quality tool that belongs in any tool kit.
