Storage Project: Many older homes have extremely small bedroom closets. However, these days we seem to have much more clothing than previous generations.
Handtool Project: This project challenges the common belief that you need a full range of tools and well-developed skills to make high quality projects.
Wood Turning: This easy project can make a nice table accent. It can also be used to display that collection of special ornaments. The wire hangers are purchased and the bases are turned, using a favorite piece of wood. Two of the three, which I turned for this article, are done in Rosewood and the third is Pau Loupe.
Wood Furniture: If you’re the type of woodworker who doesn’t have a shop full of tools or years of woodworking experience but you still want to build an elegant, functional project, then this project was designed and built specifically with you in mind.
Rustic Project: This shelving unit offers both unusual form and function. It serves both as a decorative piece and a storage facility for books or decorative items.
Easy Project: Although not obvious at first, this is a two-sided picture frame. The removable end piece of the inner frame allows both sides to be presentable. Simply rotate the inner frame to display the photo on the opposite side.
Turning Jig: The first thing that many woodturners do when seeing a new bowl or hollow form is to pick it up and look at the bottom.
Wooden Puzzle: Could there be a more interesting gift than a secret compartment and hidden treasure?
SAFETY TIP: The drill press is a very versatile machine to have in your workshop. If you are just getting into woodworking, this is one machine you will not regret adding to your shop.
