The DEWALT® 2.5 Gallon Quiet Trim Compressor Wraps Up Performance and Durability in a Portable Design with Exceptionally Low Noise Level

Mississauga, Ontario – October 1, 2014 - DEWALT® announced today the introduction of the 2.5 gallon Quiet Trim Compressor – model DWFP55130 – for professional users. Commercial Marketing Manager Greg Weston said, “We went back to the drawing board with the DEWALT® QTC and focused on three main categories that pros found the most important; weight, size, and noise.” This compressor is the culmination of continued efforts to optimize jobsite performance.

The DEWALT® QTC features a 2.5 gallon tank that delivers 3.0 standard cubic feet per minute at 90 pounds per square inch* and rated to a 200 max PSI. The ability to deliver both 3 SCFM and a 200 max PSI rating allow the compressor to fire many nails for long periods of time and with a quick recovery time. The durable oil-free pump provides extended maintenance-free operation. Jobsites can already be loud enough, so DEWALT® has engineered the QTC to have an incredibly low 71dBA operational noise level**. On top of a low operational noise level, the efficient motor only draws 12 amps, providing easy start-up and reducing the possibility of tripping a breaker. A ball valve drain enables users to quickly empty the tank.

Measuring only 14 inches wide and weighing only 37 pounds, the DEWALT® QTC is compact and portable. A roll cage design creates a convenient and comfortable handle for transportation, while also helping to protect the control panel and other vital internal components. For convenience, the shroud has a cord wrap for easy storage and the tank has a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining. The QTC can be used in two positions, horizontal for a lower center of gravity and vertical for easy pickup height.

The DWFP55130 will be available this October at home centers and in the independent channel and is expected to retail for approximately $299
