Duluth DTPro Triple Threat Tool Bag

Excellent quality multi-purpose tool bag made of 680 denier ballistic nylon

Duluth DTPro Triple Threat Tool Bag

A crappy tool bag will likely be used once, and then tossed with the weekend garbage. There are a lot of these on the market, and over the years I parted ways with several. A quality tool bag, on the other hand, can be a joy to use. It stores the bulk of your essential hand tools in a convenient, quick and easy-to-access place. No searching around for what you need - it's all there, at hand, ready to earn its keep.
Different trades people - carpenters, plumbers, electricians, masons, etc. - will have different requirements in a tool bag. However, quite a few tradespeople that I know use a couple of bags - one specifically designed for the tools of their trade, and a general purpose tool bag to hold a wider range of tools.

2 super large storage compartments
5 tool slots
The Duluth DTPro Triple Threat tool bag just might be the king of general purpose tool bags. It's made of 1680 denier ballistic nylon, a thick, tough synthetic fabric that is abrasion and tear resistant. It has two large main compartments (about 7" W by 16" L by 11" D when expanded) that will hold a variety of power tools, electrical cords, safety gear and the like. One of these pockets has 5 tool slots to hold pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers and such. There are sturdy nylon zippers with large zipper tags (which you can easily grab wearing gloves) on both of the pockets. The zipper tags and the hardware that attach the removable padded shoulder strap to the bag are made of rust resistant nickel plated metal.

Padded handles
There are three smaller exterior pockets on the side of the bag. Two are open, and the third has a Velcro cover tab. These are large enough to hold a cell phone and rechargeable battery or two for your power tools.
In between the two large pockets is a removable 22 compartment small parts organizer, made of clear durable ABS plastic. The compartments are 2 1/18" square and 1 3/4" deep - a great place to store all the little bits and pieces that you never seem to have space for. And, you can remove the divider walls to increase compartment size.

Sturdy heavy duty nylon zipper and large zipper tabs
Convenient small parts container
You can put a whale of a load into this tool bag. Carrying it around isn't too bad, as you can choose to use the padded shoulder strap or the hand straps, which are also padded. Six hard nylon bumper feet protect the bottom of the bag.
