Canada Woodworking East 2016

Major Woodworking Industry Event Returns To Montreal Next Year

Canada Woodworking East 2016

Montréal, QC –Canada’s only bilingual secondary wood event, Canada Woodworking East (Bois ouvré de l’est du Canada), returns to Montreal’s world renowned Olympic Stadium for its second edition, November 2nd and 3rd, 2016.

The inaugural edition of this biennial show marked the first major event for the industry to take place in almost a decade in the Quebec region and, as a result of its success, momentum is building rapidly.  Attendance is expected to rise as excitement grows for an even bigger and better show in 2016, which will offer new, exciting features and opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.  Canada Woodworking East is quickly proving to be a true force in the industry.

As Canada’s largest furniture producing province, Quebec is uniquely positioned to host this major industry event. The show attracts cabinet manufacturers, residential and commercial furniture manufacturers, custom wood product manufacturers, architectural woodworkers, millworkers, and more.

WHAT EXHIBITORS ARE SAYING...
  • “We will definitely be exhibiting at CWE/BOEC 2016.” – Holytek
  • “Many qualified buyers and new business.” – Waterville Woodcraft
  • “Canada Woodworking East exceeded our expectations.” – Planit Canada
After enjoying the success of the initial event and already planning their participation in the next, exhibitors had requested an adjustment in scheduling.  Show Management listened; the event will now take place later in the fall and is moving to a Wednesday/Thursday show.

“We’re excited to be back for our second edition of Canada Woodworking East,” said Mike Neeb, Show Manager. “The 2016 edition builds on the success of the inaugural show two years ago, as well as the incredible buzz from the recently held first edition of Canada Woodworking West in BC.”

“This event offers an opportunity for secondary woodworkers to meet face-to-face with manufacturers and distributors of the machinery, hardware, and accessories needed to transform wood into much sought-after products,” he added.

Once again in 2016, Canada Woodworking East will be co-located with InterSaw – the international sawmilling expo. The InterSaw portion of the event will attract sawmill owners, mill workers and other stakeholders. It focuses on the full spectrum of sawmilling equipment and technology, from influences in the log-yard through primary and secondary breakdown, to the final shipping of the product.  Combined, these cutting-edge industry events perfectly complement one another to meet the demands of the multifaceted Canadian woodworking industry.
