Milwaukee Extends Hand Tool Line with Insulation & Duct Knives

Milwaukee Insulation & Duct Knives

MILWAUKEE, WI- Milwaukee Tool continues to rapidly expand its Hand Tool offering with the introduction of (3) new knives that are designed to stay sharper longer in mechanical insulation applications. Engineered for optimal edge retention and durability, the new offering will consist of a Smooth Blade Insulation Knife, Serrated Blade Insulation Knife, and Duct Knife that stay sharp up to 5X longer than the current solutions on the market today.
“As we spent time on the jobsite investigating this category, we found that many users were using kitchen knives to cut insulation because they gave the user a longer blade, and the ability to sharpen as needed,” says Bobby Shaw, Director of Marketing for Milwaukee Tool. “Our new user-inspired products give professionals all of the benefits of their current solution, while dramatically improving the quality and durability of a tool that can very quickly get dull blades in this application.”
Designed primarily for mechanical insulators that are cutting several types of insulation including fiberglass, mineral wool, foam rubber and styrene, the new Smooth and Serrated Insulation Knives feature a full tang for maximum durability and a rounded handle for smoothing applications. For added utility, the tools have a lanyard hole for tethering and storage, and also come equipped with a durable blade cover for safe storage.
Designed primarily for HVAC installers, the new Duct Knife is optimized for cutting duct board, insulation and flex duct. The double edge blade allows the user to do all of these applications with one product. A full tang adds durability for tough cuts, and a durable sheath allows the user to store the knife safely between uses.
Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the new products confirm Milwaukee’s commitment to best-in-class durability and their relentless commitment to provide innovative, productivity enhancing solutions to core end users.
