Pullout shelves provides convenient access to the contents of a cabinet. This project incorporates drawer box construction, as well as installation of cleats and slides. DIYers can build a custom-sized pullout shelf to fit any cabinet. The complete plan and additional project information are available at rockler.com/build.

"We are constantly finding ways to teach old cabinets new tricks. One of those is the addition of pullout shelves, which gives cabinets a whole new dimension of functionality," said Scott Ekman, Rockler's vice president of marketing. "Extending the life of your existing cabinets is not only financially smart, but it's a rewarding DIY project."

Rockler has also added a trio of cabinet-related "Quick Fix" videos to its website.
