General International Variable Speed Maxi-Lathe VF

With a simple belt-and-pulley system that allows for three variable speed ranges – 250–800, 550–1700 and 1200–3600 RPM – with electronic dial-in variable control, a large 14" swing-over bed, 10 ¾" swing-over tool rest and a full 17" turning distance between centers, the new Maxi-Lathe VF from General International is designed for small to medium-sized hobby and light to medium production turning projects.

Featuring a sturdy solid cast-iron bed and headstock and an open-style cast-iron tail stock, the unit is also equipped with a heavy-duty 1" diameter tool rest post for ultra-sturdy flex-free performance. Both the tool rest and tailstock are equipped with polished steel quick lock levers for smooth, easy re-positioning and positive locking action.

Offering 24 indexing positions in 15° increments, the 25-114M1 is equipped with a ¾ HP 110V, 5 amp motor with reverse operation, including spindle lock for sanding and polishing applications.

The headstock spindle thread is a standard 1" x 8 TPI to accommodate a large variety of standard after-market accessories and both head and tailstock are fitted with a very common MT/2 Morse taper.

Factory supplied with a 6" tool rest, 3" face plate, live center, spur center, knock-out bar, a large spindle wrench and safety glasses, the General International 25-114M1 Maxi-Lathe VF is currently retailing for $599.99 and can be ordered from most General/General International retail distributors – a complete list of distributors can be found at general.ca.
