Lee Valley Chesnutt Tools Veneer Saw

Chesnutt Tools is headed by Leonard Lee, who has created the best veneer saw I've ever used. To my knowledge, this is the first time anyone has offered a 50 tpi saw of any kind that has bevel-sharpened teeth. Made in the traditional convex blade pattern, it is very effective, needing only a light touch to make it cut effectively. The tilted redwood handle is comfortable to use and allows a clear line of sight to the cut line. It was a long time in development to master the sharpening of such tiny teeth (only 0.020" wide at the base) but well worth the effort. The saw is available at Lee Valley Tools at the retail price of $29.95.
